I know a few EX members are already familiar with Audisne Ruinam through the old site, housed here. So I'll keep this intro brief so as not to bore you.
Quick story. At the end of July this year, our beloved administrator, Kestrel, was forced due to outside circumstances to close the site until October. About half of the original twenty-some members stuck out the wait, and a few of the most active [myself included] decided to re-open the site at a new forum when we learned, in early November, that Kestrel wasn't coming back. As a result, AR: The Continuation was born. I'm currently head administrator; Aglaea is co-admin, Vegas and Inaya are co-admins.

[/font][/url][/center][/blockquote][/blockquote]In the not-too-distant future, human populations aren't the only thing that's overgrown.
The proud nation of the People's Republic of China, in the year 2025, is home to over 3.5 billion people. Though this economic superpower dominates the global financial arenas, cities are overcrowded and millions go without even the most basic of provisions on a day-to-day basis. Anything that can be caught is considered food, but it's not until after an outbreak of paracide-resistant worms within the feline and canine populations that the consumption of such animals as food products is legally banned.
Felines all around the nation are rounded up, often off the streets, and screened for the condition. Those that are positive are put down. Those that are negative, or a slight fraction of the total population, are rounded up on crates and shipped off, bound for Australia and a brighter future.
But as always, such endeavors never go perfectly as planned. One of the cargo ships transporting these felines encountered a horrendous typhoon near an unknown archipelago several thousand miles north of its destination. Of the 10,000 crates aboard, each containing 40 felines on average, some 60 were freed and were flung overboard into the maelstrom before the ship continued on its way. By the time the storm had passed and the last of the crates had been swept ashore on a large, uninhabited island, only a couple hundred felines remained; the rest were lost to the sea or to starvation.
The felines quickly learned that if they were to survive in this new, unknown place, they had to band together for support. By now, five brave felines, Cobalt, Cyphrr, Mercury, Kestrel and Owl, had formed five tribes of cats known as Amandis, Legardis, Celtime, Oakran and Selvlin. Terrible misfortunes claimed the lives of three of these leaders, Cobalt, Cyphrr and Kestrel - so now, their tribes are left without leadership. Celtime, the largest of these tribes, continues to gain members at an alarming rate, though the Selvlin tribe's prosperity is beginning to pose a threat to Mercury and the Celtime cats. Who will triumph - or will a new star rise, now that three others have fallen?Amandis
