THE ROLEPLAYING RULES; Section 1
1) Speak only in third-person. That means that you always RolePlaying as if it was not your cat(s) directly, but like in a book. The examples might be able to help better.
- (Bad) EX: I thought to myself, 'What am I going to do now?' I raised my claw as I tried to aim for my opponent's backside.
* (Good) EX: A silver she-cat limply ran across the clearing with thoughts in her head. 'What should I do now?' she thought to herself while searching for an enemy cat. Her eyes quickly grabbed out of the crowd. She came running forward, toward the enemy as she unsheathed her claws. She swiftly raised one paw and thrashed it down toward her enemy's backside, hoping for a direct shot. 2) No Godmodding or Powerplaying. Let me further define these for you: - Godmodding: You cat is invincible at some points where he/she can always attack back, never gets tired, and always dodges attacks placed on them.
- EX: Mousebrain jumped out of the way of the silver cat's attack and quickly raked his claws up against her, jumping back quickly from his own attack. The battle had been going on for a long time, but he was feeling just great! No one could ever stop him! - Powerplaying: The Ability to hurt another Roleplayer's cat(s) without their want or to control another's cat(s).
- EX: Mousebrain threw himself off of Foxdung. He then took his claws and raked them down Foxdung's side. Foxdung was now paralyzed from the hip down. 3) You cannot kill off another person's character without their approval and mine (or another admin's) beforehand. Before you kill anybody you need to PM me, and only me, and clear it with myself before you go to the killing. Other than that, only the staff and myself can kill cats. Only I (or another admin) can kill cats without the owner's approval but that will only occur because of a punishment or something of somekind - I would never do that just because I didn't like the character, I would do it for a good reason. Hopefully I will never have to do it at all.
4) This is a CAT RPG, meaning cats only and that's that. There are to be no foxes, badgers, mongoose, horses, dogs, etc. as your characters. That is final and I will not change my mind.
5) Only Medicine Cats and Leader can speak with StarClan. They are the only ones that can receive dreams that mean a lot of things like prophecies. Occasionally, a warrior might receive a strange dream that means something, but it will be decided by admins over that sort of thing. Remember that Leaders and Medicine Cats don't have a million dreams though!
6) You can [no matter what] may NOT be "born-again" since it is impossible. Once your cat is dead then it is dead. Sorry, but it can never come back, and never will unless in dreams, but that's it.
7) You cannot have nine lives, in-human techniques, or anything that can make you invincible. We take it as a major powerplaying. And remember: not all cats can have longer claws, barely any do! So, if in your bio, I see that you post that your cat has extra long claws then I will have to think about it for a long time since hardly ANY cats really actually do. So keep things serious, people!
8) Cats do not know about many things like: pie, cheese, potatoes, etc. So remember while Roleplaying to not bring these type of things up. If you do I will have to edit your message(s) And I will put at the end of the message:
EDIT: Cats do not know about these things. 9) Don't ask for a mentor, your leader probably already has one in mind for you!
10) Your cat must be at least 12 moons for them to have apprentices - this is their adult age, and when most cats are ready to actuall begin to reproduce.
11) Another character must roleplay you're mate - we do not allow mates by the same roleplayer.
- exA) Hiko plays "Siegefire" and Hiko plays "Duskfury". Incorrect way.
* exB) Hiko plays "Siegefire" and Minty plays "Bleedingsoul". Correct way. 12) If you reserve a kit then you must be active with it. If you are not active with it then you may not have any kit from the next three litters, even if they are your own.
13) You are allowed to be in two places at a time not counting a Gathering or a Meeting [ you are always allowed to be at two other places AND a Gathering/Meeting ]. The only key is that if you are in two threads that one of them takes place earlier than the other. Basically you have a current thread and a past thread; you are not allowed to roleplay in the future - it's just past and present. That is remaining the rule unless it is further modified.

THE ROLEPLAYING RULES; Section 2 [romance]
1) There is to be no graphic mating; people don't want to imagine your cats having sex. Reading about it is just gonna gross them out.
2) To have kittens, you must have a mate. For a cat to be considered your mate you must both agree to each other for your cats to be mates. They have to have known each other for 10+ days and have said 'I love you' or done some type of affectionate gesture at least three times. Make a note of how it was stated in the above rules that you need somebody else to be your mate - you cannot be your own mate. (There is only one exception to this rule - if you have permission from the admins then you can be your own mate/have an unknown mate for your cat [like in a forcebred situation] Otherwise it is out of the question.)
3) Refer to the Warrior Code about out-of-Clan affairs.
4) It is possible for a tom to mate with several different she-cats. Although, just in advance to all you tom-players!, beware that the she-cats might get angry and rip out your throat or something whenever they realize that they weren't the one that you completely loved! I'd just stick with one mate if I were you!
5) Whenever you would like the female to have a litter of kittens you need to PM your Clan's leader and OK it with them and then they will post a pregnancy in the Kittens area. {Loners/Rogues/Kittypets can contact me}
- a} whenever the she-cat is 'in her season' (she has to be at least 8 months of age; she should be 12 whenever she conceives or else she'll be going against StarClan though.) she is able to begin to bear kittens; from then on she is allowed to concieve but before then it is not allowed at all. - b} please wait 1-7 days or so for your Clan leader to post that she is pregnant. Remember, females, this does not mean that the same day that I post that she's already 'bulging with kittens!' but that will be most likely on the 3rd to last day that she will. - c} the pregnancy will last from 1-2 weeks. In that time the mother will need a lot of rest, a good supply of food, and a shelter to bear her kittens in - fathers, this is your job to care for her in these conditions! - d} whenever the kittens are born the mother will have to have the birth in-character [do not go into very much detail!! Just saying she had a spasm and something came out is good enough!!!] - e} The leader will PM the mother before-hand to give her the genders of each cat and the descriptions for the IC-birth. Whenever she births the kittens she can name them as they come out, afterwards, or however she wishes. It's then that the names will be decided. After the mother chooses the names (EX: A ginger kit comes out in IC and she names it Goldkit) she needs to PM them to me if I don't already know them and for whom they go to. After all of them have been named then I will go and post all of them in the kits section. 6) After the kits are born they will be put up for adoption by other roleplayers to claim as their own. They claim ownership of the kits a week after they are born. Their mother will play them before the week but afterwards their eyes will be open and they'll be able to crawl. From there on please wait 1-2 days before they can slightly talk. They aren't perfect little babies who can recite Shakespeare perfectly after a week out of their mother! Be realistic, please!
7) I will usually put up a date whenever the kittens can be adopted, so it may not always be a full week. Just be patient. =)

THE ROLEPLAYING RULES; Section 3 [fighting/gathering]
1) Whenever you are fighting with a Clan over a piece of land: KEEP THE FIGHT IN ONE THREAD. And, please, please keep it in the area you are trying to claim. In this RPG, all territories are claimable besides the camps and meeting centers and such. Do not try to claim something that's not on the border though! The bridge is claimable because it splits RC and WC, Sunningrocks - obviously, and other such things. You will most likely not claim it but that will be up to the leaders. The leader of the offensive Clan should PM the other Clan's leader and between both of them they should decide an outcome. If the offensive or defensive sides are uncooperative and you don't reach a winning side (Remember you can't always win!) then you can PM the admins and we'll decide the outcome.
2) No GM or PP. Refer to other rules to understand that.
3) If you're just attacking, attack the camp! Don't you dare go into individual dens! It will just slow down the fight and eventually you will PP or GM and you'll be punished for it. Stay in the camp and preferably one thread so everybody can participate!
4) If medicine cats come with on a raid in unknown territory they can only carry so much with them. They may have to send warrior and such back to fetch more supplies. They can carry a maximum of five different items. Not different herbs but different items. Keep that in mind!
5) No matter what, NO leaving Gatherings! They are held every two months, so I wouldn't dare leave one!
6) Only Leaders or myself can say that StarClan put a cloud over the moon.
7) No fighting at all, if you are starting to fight then have you cat go sit at the other end away from its enemy.
8) Early Apprentices, Queens (who have given birth), and Kits do not attend a Gathering. You must have been an apprentice for at least one week to attend one.
9) Remember that during Gatherings, the leaders also speak about how their Clan is doing, not just things that involve the whole forest or several Clans.

THE ROLEPLAYING RULES; Section 4 [moving clans/ooc mates]
MOVING CLANS - First of all, this is not required. This is actually barely allowed. Whenever you sign up a feline you should sign it up for the Clan that you want, not just whatever leader is online. If you try to move Clans you could end up being a loner. Whenever you leave your own Clan I completely doubt that you leader will ever take you back - it's extremely rare for them to. And I also doubt that your 'new Clan' leader will take you in. In the series only Graystripe was taken in because of his Clan-affair. He was only taken in by RiverClan because of the kittens.
Leaders know that if you left your Clan you aren't very loyal and so why would they allow a disloyal cat into their own Clan? Doesn't make much sense, hmm?
OOC (OUT OF CLAN) MATING - This is a huge no-no. People just love it whenever their cats go against StarClan. Oh my! With all of these OOC matings all of the Clans are going to merge together into one! In fact, in the book series [which this website is closely related to, unlike other Warriors RPGs] there were only two clear OOC relationships. GrayxSilver and FeatherxCrow. [not including tribe cats and such] But even so, it's against the Warrior Code to mate with a cat from another Clan. Plus, the Clans are usually quite fierce to one another, very protective of their territory, so it would be highly unlikely honestly for cats to pair up.
Still, I understand some cats meeting up and eventually falling in love and what-not, but please stop asking people 'Will you be my mate? Oh, you're in another Clan? Well, that's fine.' Because it isn't fine. Your leaders might even exile you if it gets bad enough, and who knows what StarClan will do to you? Cats have died before for out-of-Clan affairs on this website even. Mark StarClan's words!

THE ROLEPLAYING RULES; Section 5 [additional information]
1) You may only have one "formal" high position. Period. By this I mean you may have only one leader or only one deputy. MedicineCats and MedicineCat Apprentices are open to everybody. Although you may only be one MedicineCat or one MedicineCat Apprentice. This means that you can have a total of two *high* positions.
2) Do not ask to be a Leader/Deputy/MedicineCat if you know that there already is one. If there isn't then you will need to sign up as one in the Sign-Up area regarding it after you PM the leader of the Clan talking to them about it. [ make a note that you CAN NOT sign up as a deputy ]
3) You can currently have 7 active characters. I have made it so you can no longer have as many as you want because I felt it made everything too hectic and some cats were being neglected. If you need more for some weird, abnormal reason, then please contact the admins about it.
4) You are not allowed to freeze cats until you have been on the website for at least one month. It would be easier if you never froze any cats at all. In addition, you can only freeze one cat per month. You can have a total of five frozen cats, but please don't just start freezing them like crazy. Under certain situations I will allow some felines to 'vanish' from a plot and then you can freeze more than one, but other than that just please stick to one a month if you have to freeze any at all.

THE ROLEPLAYING RULES; Section 5 [joining Clans]
» Kittypets Did you notice that there are no Human Lands around here? Yes, that is because in the new territory, humans do not frequently come here. This means that there is an extremely low amount of kittypets. The only way kittypets could get here is if they ran away from their owner, or if they were dumped. Humans don't frequent these areas, and we plan to keep it that way.
kittypets in roleplay at once.[/ul] » LonersLoners who are born outside of the Clans or have lived out of Clans their whole lives in the wild parts of life are highly admitted into the Clan most of the time. Weak attitudes and lack of respect play a major part in this, though, with the leader's opinion about the cat. Loners are accepted over Kittypets and are valuable Clan members if they have never belonged to a Clan and remain loyal. But not every loner is admitted properly to any Clan. Most Clans prefer pure-blooded warriors and no kittypets, loners, and especially no rogues. It's just all in the cards. » RoguesRogues are almost out of the question. Depending on the rogue's past the approval of arriving within the Clan could change. Murderers and rapists are not usually taken into the Clan unless of a relative within the Clan most of the time. However, 'lesser-rogues' who weren't a big name in the forest are sometimes allowed to join back up with the Clans. Rogues hardly are ever allowed to join any Clan, though, because they are obviously disloyal to their past masters or Clans and leaders tend to not care much at all for these cats. But some are still admitted into Clans, depending on the leader's opinions and views.[/sup][/blockquote]
